Marie Curie Development Host Postdoctoral Fellowship

A one-year postdoctoral fellowship is available in the Department of Mathematics at NUI Galway. The position is funded by a Marie Curie Development Host grant, and the fellow will join a small research group with interests in homological aspects of groups, monoids and commutative algebras (see http://hamilton.nuigalway.ie/mathdep/research/homotopy.html).
Current interests of the group are:

- cohomology rings of Artin groups, Coxeter groups and other groups.

- combinatorial commutative algebra.

- symbolic computation: Haskell functional programming in homological algebra.

Salary : 36744 euro (+ 4800 euro annual travel allowance)
Closing date: 31st July, though applications will be considered up to the appointment.
Starting date: September 2003 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Eligibility: Applicants must meet the nationality/residency requirements of Marie Curie Development Host Fellows. (This roughly means that they should be a national or resident of an EU country, should not be Irish, and should not have lived recently in Ireland.)
